At fourteen, I faced a health challenge that transformed my life. What began as a seemingly normal period turned into prolonged bleeding lasting over twelve days. Diagnosed with menorrhagia (a condition of heavy, extended periods) I was prescribed medication to stop the bleeding. Though the medicine worked initially, the problem returned monthly, leading to a frustrating cycle of treatments that only provided temporary relief.
I sought answers from multiple doctors, trying Ayurveda, homeopathy, and allopathy. Each system offered short-term solutions, but my body would adapt, and the symptoms persisted. By my late teens, I was on nearly 20 pills a day, suffering from severe side effects, including hair loss, fatigue, and nutrient deficiencies. In 2012, the emotional toll became unbearable. There were days when the bleeding would go on for 30 days or more, despite taking the prescribed medications. Depression set in, accompanied by panic attacks and a dramatic weight loss of 10 kilograms, leaving me physically and mentally drained.
At my lowest point, my mother encouraged me to try yoga- not as a cure, but as a way to find calm. I began with just a few minutes a day, gradually increasing my practice. Yoga became my sanctuary, helping me build resilience and reconnect with my body. Inspired by this progress, I studied nutrition to understand my health better and explore ways to heal from within.
Healing was not linear. It required dietary changes, eliminating foods that triggered symptoms and focusing on fresh, wholesome meals. I also re-evaluated daily habits, from cookware to food storage, to reduce toxins. Slowly, my energy levels improved, and my hormonal imbalances began to stabilize. The turning point came when I no longer needed medication to manage my periods. After years of dependency, I was finally free.
This journey taught me the power of balance and sustainability. Recovery wasn’t about extreme restrictions but about mindful, lasting changes. This belief in Samatva- balance and moderation-became my guiding philosophy. I realized true health is about harmony in body, mind, and lifestyle.
Today, I dedicate my life to sharing these lessons. Through workshops, seminars, and personalized guidance, I help others build healthier habits and find their path to wellness. My mission is to empower individuals to take charge of their health and embrace a life full of vitality and joy.
